FAQ

Some questions, some answers

What is systemic coaching?

Systemic coaching focuses on the interconnectedness of various systems within an individual's life, such as family, work, relationships, and community. It is based on the understanding that an individual's challenges, goals, and behaviors are influenced by these interconnected systems.
During a coaching session, a systemic coach will use different question techniques in order to develop suitable solutions together with the client and help the clients regain competence and strength. This enables the clients to solve their problems independently and achieve their goals.

What is a free consultation call?

A consultation call is a free, 30-minute video call (via Zoom). During the consultation call, we take a look at your current situation, and I will let you know how I can best help you and answer any questions you might have. That way, you will have all the information needed for you to decide if it is a good fit for you.

How does a coaching session work?

In order for you to know what to expect, let me explain to you how a coaching session works.

Your status quo:
If you're a new client, we will talk about your current situation and your desired outcome of the coaching session. If we have had coaching sessions before, we will catch up on the steps you have taken since we last spoke.

Assignment and goals:
I ask you several questions to establish the assignment and goals for the coaching process. This helps to avoid misunderstandings and ensure that both parties have a common understanding of what is to be achieved in the coaching session.

The coaching:
This is the part where collaboration between client and coach intensifies even more. Here, you can share anything that is on your mind. I will use different coaching techniques to activate your inner resources, and together we will find out the most suitable solution for you.

Action Steps:
This is the part where we transfer everything you have learned during the coaching session into actionable steps that you can implement into your daily life. This ensures the long-lasting effect of the coaching session.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching tends to be more present and future-oriented, focusing on where the client is now and where they want to go in the future. Coaching helps individuals achieve specific goals, develop skills, or make changes in their personal or professional lives. Coaches often work with clients who are already functioning relatively well but seek to enhance their performance, clarify their objectives, or overcome obstacles.

Therapy, on the other hand, tends to be oriented toward the past. It often involves a deeper exploration of past experiences, emotions, and traumas to gain insight into current issues. Therapists work with clients to explore and understand deep-rooted emotions, past traumas, and psychological patterns. They often work with individuals who are experiencing mental health conditions and who have lost control over their lives.

Do you charge by the hour?

The coaching rates I offer are not calculated by time, but rather by the value I provide and my expertise. The real change happens in the actual coaching session and afterward, when you process and let everything that you learned sink in.
